Professional Removal Process

Graffiti removal from porous brick and masonry often requires multiple stages.
Depending on the age of the graffiti, paint type and porosity of the surface,
the process may need to be repeated more than once.
Step 1 – Apply Graffiti-Enz Gold
Generously apply Graffiti-Enz Gold to the graffiti and allow suitable dwell
time for the product to penetrate and soften the paint, marker or ink.
Step 2 – Pressure wash
Agitate if required, then pressure wash the surface to remove dissolved
graffiti and flush loosened paint from the pores of the brick.
Step 3 – Apply Shadow Remover
If staining or ghosting remains, apply Graffiti-Enz Shadow Remover and allow
adequate dwell time to target residual pigments left within the masonry.
Step 4 – Pressure wash again
Thoroughly pressure wash the treated area again to remove loosened staining
and assess the remaining level of shadowing.
Step 5 – Repeat if required
Deeply penetrated graffiti, older paint or highly porous brick may require
additional applications of Gold, Shadow Remover and pressure washing to
achieve the best possible result.
Step 6 – Optional bleach support
Once all Graffiti-Enz products have been thoroughly rinsed from the surface,
some operators use a household bleach solution as a final support treatment
to help reduce light residual staining on porous brick.
Important: Always test on a small inconspicuous area first.
Results vary depending on the age of the graffiti, the type of paint used,
whether the brick is sealed and how deeply the pigment has penetrated the surface.

Can bleach help remove graffiti shadows from brick?
On some porous brick, concrete and masonry surfaces, very light staining or
shadowing may remain after the graffiti has been removed. This occurs because
some pigments penetrate deep into the pores of the surface.
Recommended Removal Process
- Apply Graffiti-Enz Gold and allow adequate dwell time.
- Pressure wash thoroughly to remove loosened graffiti.
- Apply Graffiti-Enz Shadow Remover and allow adequate dwell time.
- Pressure wash again to assess remaining staining.
- Repeat the process if required until the best possible result has been achieved.
Bleach & Important Notes
- Bleach is not the primary graffiti remover.
- Only use bleach after all Graffiti-Enz products have been completely rinsed from the surface.
- Always follow the bleach manufacturer’s directions.
